He serves as a Consultant Surgeon within the Greek National Health System (NHS) at the East Achaia General Hospital (Aigio Hospital Unit), where he holds the position of Head of the Surgical Clinic. In parallel, he maintains private clinical practice in collaboration with the IASO Athens and OLYMPIO Patras medical centres.
He performs a high volume of surgical procedures on a monthly basis, covering the full spectrum of General Surgery, including both laparoscopic and open (conventional) procedures. He has specialised expertise in laparoscopic surgery, with particular focus on surgical oncology, gynaecological conditions, and biliary tract disease. His main area of specialisation is abdominal wall surgery, where he performs advanced laparoscopic hernia repair procedures.
Mr Kokores is also actively involved in the training of specialist surgeons in advanced laparoscopic techniques, particularly in the surgical management of abdominal wall hernias.
